Did the BBB RSS News Feed bite the dust? I had actually just added that RSS Feed to another resource, and it stopped working after the upgrade.

And yes, how about the famous BBB Webcam Vault? Where will I go for laughs now?

The news database is being retooled and will be back next week, along with an updated RSS feed.

The Webcam Vault is also being reconsidered. Do I really want those pictures online? 😉
The live webcams are actually still functioning, but haven’t found a permanent home in the new site (yet).

The old news feed is dead, but will be replaced next week.

Currently you can get new forum posts via RSS or XML using the following links:

XML: https://bigblueball.com/forums/external.php?type=xml
RSS: https://bigblueball.com/forums/external.php?type=rss
RSS 2.0: https://bigblueball.com/forums/external.php?type=rss2

You can restrict the feed to show only specific forums by adding the forum IDs you want, like this:

https://bigblueball.com/forums/external.php?type=rss&forumid=117,123,124

In this example I used forumid=117,123,124 to display topics from only the AIM, MSN and Yahoo forums. You’ll see the forum ID in the status bar of your browser when you hover over the forum link in our forum index.

If you want to include the latest posts on your own website, you can use this tool to generate the javascript code for you. Insert the javascript in your HTML and you’ll be able to display exactly what you want. You can see this in action in the Recent Forum Discussions section on our Yahoo Center.

All of this functionality will also be available for our IM news earlier next week.
