ok i know how to use the emoticons but is there ne way to download other emoticons on to my messenger drop down emoticons list?

Unfortunately, no. You can’t add additional icons to MSN Messenger.

Click for the emoticon drop down list in an instant message. Click the last square with “…”There, it will show you all the possible emoticons and how to make them using the keys on your keyboard. This way you wont need to use your drop down menu or add others to it.

Yea that is an easier way but Jeff i have a program call emotimake and you build your own emoticons from the standard ones like you can give it a beard but the contact you are speaking to must have loaded it onto ther messenger.
P.s you can also add emoticons with rehacker.exe but Hacking is daft! and illegal :S

Is it just me, or does Lost mean other emoticons ASIDE from the already existing emoticons included on MSN messenger (including the supposed “secret” ones that maeve described on the “…” link). Jeff said No It’s not possible, and he’s the man so I guess not. I know it’s possible on Yahoo to add your own additional Smileys, but the only thing is, that the other person you’re talking to; has to have the exact same Smiley you made into your program, in theirs or else they wont see what you see.

There really is no link for making additional smileys for Yahoo. All you’re doing is making a little .gif (i believe) and adding it into the smileys directory of your Yahoo Messenger. But I’d advise you not to try – if you mess up; I don’t want any blame. Anyways what’s the point? the other person you send the “handmade” emoticon to is only going to see a big blank nothing; kinda pointless….

It’s kind of like making your own skins for Yahoo… (i tried it once… boy was it ever unpleasing to the eye.) You do all the file sifting…

The only thing that I have found that you are able to do is download other emoticons to replace the ones on your messenger.

They have a few different zip files on this link plus a winzip with the original emoticons should u get tired of the ones you downloaded. This link will provide you with better info, than i can give you

Ummm…. that’s cool misswebby, but those are only for Yahoo! Messenger… and THIS topic is about MSN Messenger (look up…see the heading???). Thanks, but you still can’t change the emoticons in MSN Messenger.

okay. i thought the links would take you direct to the download pages, but alas, they all lead to the homepage. Sorry all. To find the emoticon downloads,click on leftside menu,Mess File Downloads, then when new menu opens, click on messenger skins, you shall find the new emoticons there on the new page. Also find a download for psycho smilies on page 2. phew!
