i have used yahoo messenger for some years now and never had any real problems. 🙂
my messenger is usually open if my computer is on and recenty I have gone away from my computer and come back to find that someone has messaged me! yeah!!:D but the strange thing is that I have replied, but I wasn’t even there. my ID was sending various links to different Islamic religious sites. this has also happened to my roommate on the same machine. I tried to fix the problem by uninstalling yahoo messenger and downloading the new version but without avail as the jaihad is still raging on somewhere in my hard drive. the whole fiasco has created no real problems besides freaking me out and making me feel generally uncomfortable.:(
any help out there?:p
Check out Freedy’s web page http://www.helpbytes.co.uk/removal.php I think he has a fix for you..Virus scan and spyware clean your computer would help some too… Also seacrch the forums there is a couple of threads on this topic 😉 good luck fixing it
Nother qustion….Dose any 1 send a sample of the virus to there anti virus softwares home page? Most anti virus software has a place to send it and tells you how to go about sending it to them..
Anti Virus companies are not interested. They are not true viruses, because they don’t infect other files.
They are not worms, there is no automated infection.
Parts of the infection are Trojans which download the main infection, there are also ad clickers and downloaders in it, but again, no one is really interested in it, I sent samples to people, one replied saying it detected via heuristic scanning what was going on, and that it wasn’t a concern to their software because its more of a spyware issue.
No spyware companies replied.
