The new yahoo messenger doesn’t work

I downloaded the newest version of yahoo messenger, and when I click on the sign in button, it will say that it’s connecting, but then it will just stop trying to connect and will return to the original welcome window. I have windows xp home edition. I don’t know if I’m behind a firewall, but I do know that I use a modem.

Yahoo servers were having some issues as reported here, here and here. I guess you missed those. 😉 Give it some time, everything should be up and running soon, if not already.
