If you were to add a thirteenth month to the year, where would you insert it?

But since I have to choose, I’d put it between June and July. The days are long, the weather is fine. Perfect for being outdoors!

August 1, 2001 at 6:35 pm #103173rustedtightMemberBetween December and January.
I love that Christmas spirit and time of goodwill.
While accepting that the world is not all Christian, seems there is a period of increased peace at this time.
While heartening, even this gives me cause for concern.October 4, 2001 at 2:44 pm #103179fstieglitzMemberBetween Jan and Dec. I just love those Chicago winters.

August 3, 2002 at 1:50 am #103181AnnaParticipantI’d put it between September n’ October.
I love the fall. It’s warm enough so you don’t have to wear any jackets or parkas, but cool enough to slip on a sweater – just like summer nights… well at least where I am… 🙂

August 7, 2002 at 5:34 am #103176melneeMemberRight inbetween October and November. Here in the South, the weather is bout perfect in these two months, not too hot, but usually not really cold either. I could also use that extra time to gather up all the Christmas list goodies my kids have requested. I think the weather would be the best reason though. I can imagine sitting on my front porch swing, listening to the wind blow thru the pecan trees, and the birds singing, enjoying the peace of the country, all without sweating buckets, and exclaiming its hotter that hades here, I wish it would snow!!! I would lay naked in the snow and make them snow angels I see people make on TV….lol
Well, anyway, I got way off on that one, sorry, Its hot here now, as you might have guessed.August 7, 2002 at 4:05 pm #103172rustedtightMemberQuote:quote: I can imagine sitting on my front porch swing, listening to the wind blow thru the pecan trees, and the birds singing, enjoying the peace of the country, all without sweating bucketsOh, Oh so cruel, thats the cruelest thing i read all day………. I have 6 huge Pecan trees in my yard, with lots and lots of pecans each year. We have tons of pecan desserts and treats during the winter months. I have froze probably 20 quarts of shelled pecans also. Then I have them year round. I have also been known to mail friends boxes of them across country. I love to share.
Now for the snow, we rarely get it here. Maybe once a year, about 1 inch and its gone in one day, and usually back up to 50 or 60 the next day. You would laugh if you saw the chaos a little snow causes here.
And of course your invited to Christmas dinner, I would love having you. 🙂 You are invited to visit anytime, if to just sit on my porch and swing while enjoying the breeze and watching the squirrels play in the trees with me.
now will you take my name off your list?? please? pretty please??August 8, 2002 at 4:59 am #103186Joe TysonMemberlol
