Hey…I see that Windows Messenger has like you msn contacts on it and is very similar to MSN Messenger. Well I got msn messenger. And Windows Messenger is not in the add remove programs list….should i just do a search for WINDOWS MESSENGER and delete whatever comes up to get rid of it? Will I lose anything from MSN MEssenger? ANd the other thing is WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER…thats not in the add remove programs list. Should i just do a search for that and delete whatever comes up? That’s because I use Winamp. Hope to hear from someone soon thanks!!
No, you shouldn’t. You can safely delete the shortcuts from your desktop, taskbar and start menu – but do not just randomly delete some files that come up in a search.
Meanwhile, both of these programs don’t use up much harddisk space and keeping them won’t hurt. In fact, you will have to keep them – they’re built into Windows and removing them will break it. 🙂
OK THANKS….SO ALL I CAN DO IS DELETE THE SHORTCUTS FROM THE DESKTOP, RIGHT?
