KeymasterJust how fast do you have to go to do this to a car Audi 🙁
I’d say not very fast knowing how CRAPPY cars are built today

KeymasterMy question is what of the driver/passenger ??
As I have mentioned before, being an Ambo.
Your comments that cars bulit today are crappy I find unfounded as Cars have become safer partly because they are now stronger where it counts. To protect occupants from a direct impact, the passenger compartment should keep its shape in a crash. The Design Rules, which set out design standards for vehicle safety , specify such things as strength and stiffness requirements for side-doors to help protect occupants in a side impact; collapsible steering columns to minimise the risk of crushing or piercing injuries from a frontal impact; anti-burst door locks; and padding on instrument panels.
The image you have shown shows speed as a cause of accident.
Lets hope you are not involved in an accident is a “steel coffin” (old car) I know which car I would prefer to be in!

i’d imagine he was speeding out of control, then the car went into a slide sideways, hit the first tree (you can see part of the car wrapped around it in the last picture) which split the car in two… the two halves then slid a few feet away

ParticipantThe reason that cars fall apart is because the impact has to go somewhere. Everyone has studied enertia, and if you haven’t you will in your years to come. The force of impact has to go somewhere, so you have a choice; The Car, The people in the car. So personally I’d rather have the car looking like that than having all the force on a body. That’s why they make “crumple cars” these days. Cars are designed to crumple on impact to lessen the effect on the human body. Yeah, It’ll kill your checkbook afterward, but that’s better than killing something a bit more vital.
Oh, and by the way…will someone please backhand dude for that comment about cars being built crappy?
