ParticipantHello,
I don't know if it's the web page design here or the Google Chrome browser but in Google Chrome browser the latest version this Web Page fails.
I don't know who to contact about the webpage?

ParticipantI've moved this thread from AIM support to the bug reports section:
I had the same problem this morning on all forum threads. I could see the list of today's posts just fine. But I could not access any of them via Chrome. As soon as I clicked on any link I received an “Aw Snap” page. (And yes I closed my browser and tried again.) I am however, using Chrome on another computer right now, and I'm able to get to all the pages just fine.
Unfortunately, the Chrome “Aw Snap” page is less than helpful. The suggestions are reload/try again later (done that), disable extensions (done that), or rebuild profile (shouldn't have to do that for only one site having an issue). I'd try to blame it on Chrome or Flash or something, but BBB is the only site I've had issues with in the last couple of weeks.
I have had this issue with BBB pages for the last 2 weeks-ish, but until now, it was nothing a refresh of the page didn't fix. This morning was the first time threads were completely unaccessible from Chrome.

KeymasterThere were some issues with the forums, but these should be resolved. I'm replying right now using Google Chrome on Mac OSX.
What version of Chrome and what operating system are you running? What error do you get?

ParticipantXP Professional SP3 machine with Chrome 5.0.335.1 beta and
Windows 7 with Chrome 5.0.356.2 beta. The only error is “Aw Snap” something went wrong. There are no error codes in Chrome to help diagnose problems.
The XP machine has been ok today, I'll try the Windows 7 machine again when I get home tonight and will let you know. It was the one that simply would not let me in early this morning.

MemberSteve (I hope this isn't Ballmer…),
I'm running Windows XP Pro and Google Chrome (let's face it, it's just faster). But I just checked for updates and it said I'm running the latest version: 4.1.249.1042 beta (42199).
Oh, and it's working fine. I'm writing this reply in Chrome.
I'm wondering what this 5.0.356.2 version is, since I'm running the “latest” version.
Also, what extensions are you running? The only one I've got is Amazon's add-to-wishlist extension.

ParticipantBill,
If you Google “Chrome beta”, you'll find out there is a version 5 beta which I have the latest release of, I know it's not an extension problem because to test I disabled the 10 extensions I have installed to make sure none of them were causing the Aw Snap problem here.

MemberOkay Steverino, I don't know where the heck you found this mysterious 5.0 version of Google Chrome. I just went to the Google Chrome site, and went to their beta channel: Google Chrome (BETA)
I downloaded and installed the latest beta from there, and I got Google Chrome 4.1.249.1042 beta (42199). Apparently you are not using the beta channel, but the DEV channel, which is less stable.
I'm not sure I want to install something that isn't fully cooked. I got burned that way with Windows 3.0, ME, XP, Vista, the list goes on and on. 😉

Personally, I wouldn't install any version of Google Chrome from a non-Google site. Too risky.

ParticipantHere are your screenshots of Chrome NOT working. You can see in the first one the “Todays Posts” page is fine, but if you click a link…AW SNAP! Refreshing does not bring up the post….or even another Aw Snap page….it throws me back to Today's Posts.
note: I'm forced to use IE at the moment….HORRORS!

ParticipantI re-installed Beta Chrome from the official download and got the latest dev version number 5.0.356.2.
I was briefly able to get to a post but as soon as I started to type in the reply box , AW SNAP! I refreshed, it came back up. I tried to type and before I could get done….Aw Snap again. After that…unable to get anything to load on a post page. Back to IE now.
I did test other suites with heavy use of Flash and Java and had no issues. I also tested going to the Trillian forums to be sure I could actually access posts elsewhere – again no problem. My guess is a script of some sort that doesn't want to play nice with the latest Chrome build. That doesn't help narrow it down much does it?

MemberFunny, I just used that very same link and got this version: 4.1.249.1042 beta (42199)
You must be signed up to get the dev releases maybe?

Did you click the Reply button, or use the Quick Reply form? Does it work differently if you use the Reply button? If the problem only occurs with the Quick Reply form, that helps me narrow down the problem, as that's currently configured to use AJAX calls.
