Hi guys! need help regarding yahoo messenger, i don’t have any clue what happened i just suddenly could not login using my ususal id and password, i was searching for answers and i think it has something to do with this malicious act of booting, anyway do you have any idea on how i can restore the same id and password for logging in to yahoo messenger? It works with my email but not with messenger. Let me know and thanks
ok this is annoying…i am having the same problem as Souled Out. I have done a little research and come to the points that either it was a boot program i downloaded that used a dll file to get ahold of my username and password or else someone just found my name interesting and spent the time on me to get my password lol. either way, i am out of my main id for messenger but yet i am able to get into my email and the games. after the pain in the butt of transferring all my friends screen names to my new id i would still like to get my name back…i am not sure that going to yahoo is going to help me, all i have heard was that they take forever and in the long run end up telling you to make a new name…easier for them to say… i’ll tell yah. so anyways..before this is a 500 page book…instead of just a chapter 😛 lol..i’ll end it. ps…requesting a password change from yahoo doesnt work X-(hey jaded, try the Y! tunnel forum there’s an instruction there about unlocking your locked id, i have tried it and it worked. waiting time i guess is about a week average.

since the y tunnel site is down, as of yesterday, i thought i’d post this,,1st,,JadedWolf, there are exploit programs out there, that will send ur pasword to the programer of the program, it’s not something new. 2nd, u can check out the 2nd paragraph on this page, http://www.wackyb.co.nz/yahoo.html , basiaclly all it says is to either rename or delete the yupdater.exe file in c:program filesyahoomessenger, there r several other fixes, but a friend of mine called yahoo at (408)349-3300 and talked to a real person, lol..they gave her a new password, but she had to wait 12 hours before it worked
