I recently got a notice from Yahoo Messenger to update to their newest version the 437 version. I did it and am having so many problems with it. My question is this: Can I find the last version I had which was the 426 version and put it on top of the 437 version? Will it do harm to do that or will that even work? I’m desperate for some help with this. I know others are having the same problems and wish we could get some answers from yahoo when we write to them but we don’t. I hope someone here can advise me about putting on a different version over the one I got now. Does anyone know where to go get the 426 version or even the 7.0 Beta version? They both worked better than this 437 does. Thanks.
If ya have the old version ofthe install of yahoo messenger just unistall the one you have and clean ya registry files the install the old one then before you log in go into ya program files and into messenger theres a file calledyupdater delete that and it wont ask ya to update again and ya should be back to the previous version and it wont auto update on you.;) IF ya need further help with it ya can email me address is on profile.
I was having the same problem until someone gave me this site http://www.oldversion.com they have all the old versions of yahoo. Good Luck it helped me.
