I have been getting really slow speeds on BitTorrent and every torrent program I have used… I have a LinkSys Router and I did open ports 6881 and 6889 and speeds are still slow… Some of my friends get really fast speeds over 100 KB/s and I have a 300 KB/s broadband connection and my speeds are less than 50 KB/s…. Do any of you have a solution?

hmm…..do you have windows XP SP2 installed?…because Microsoft have only opened 10 ports…it might effect you downloading speed…
Nope I got SP1 and I got it working… I am using Azureus now… It is faster than BitTorrent

Azureus should be good. I use BitTornado so maybe try that and see if you get better speeds. With BitTornado, it lets you know whether or not your receiving incoming connections depending on the color. Don’t know how this is shown in Azureus but it most likely is your router. Trackers are starting to use other ports besides the default ones.
