So I finally downloaded Trillian v 3.0 and I like it accept for one major problem: I cannot join a #channel in IRC. I have created at least three different server accounts that I use regularily, but there is no option to join a channel. According to “connection maganger” I am connected, maybe I just cannot find where you type the channel you want to enter. Any help?
once your’e connected, you should just be able to type “/join #channel” from the status window, no? if you need a list of channels on the server, you can type “/list”, although i’m not sure how trillian handles that command. (i cant connect to irc through trillian while i’m at college, otherwise i’d check that)
Here’s DJHyperbyte’s excellent Trillian IRC Command Reference.
Hey! That worked Tiger ^_^
See, I used to be able to select a drop down menu that would say: Join channel
Now it seems I have to do it this new way. Well it worked, so thanks. =)
They re-did the entire IRC plug-in for Trillian 3, so it’s lacking alot of the old features (like scripting) but I hear the next build will help bring this back up to date.
