I’m loving this! Especially the dictionary thing. Try typing in some random bad word then click on it. It gives you a very detailed and unnecesary explanation if what it means…pretty funny though. Yep Trillian 3 is awesome (skip you chat2cell). Hehehehe… I’m a little hyper tonight. Dictionary in Trillian – Random yet funny and amusing!

I just got an invite to try Trillian 3.0. I downloaded it and when I tried to run the program it said it was missing a file in the trillian.exe. The file is Shell32.DLL:SHGetFolderPatchA. Can someone tell me how to fix this?
Does anyone know if the site that hosts the download keeps it updated as builds come put, or is it a one-time thing?
EDIT: Just got it, and…WOW! It is so much better than the older version. Here are some cool features I like:
– Hovering over a screen name, you can read their away message.
– Much more sleek, clean design.
– Buddy Icon can be matched with Windows XP Icon.
– More Emoticons!
– Tabbed IM Windows, but can be turned off.
– Popup Online Status Indicator shows Buddy Icon of person signing on/off.I can’t wait for it to become a final release!
Ice, try dowloading it again. I had the same problem, but when I did it again, everything ran smoothly.
I just like the dictionary. At first it was a lot of working with the preferences to make the list non gigantic, and I don’t particularly like how it auto groups the IMs by their medium…but after enough screwing around I got it just right. Course it is just the Pro eval, I’ll have to find a way to get pro perminantly eventually *shrug* No big deal for now though.
But yeah the dictionary is fun. I was talking abotu how funny the daily show is after election day and it actually gave a definition for the daily show. Like a whole long drawn out background, it was nuts. Heh, learned a lot from that thing. Like did you know that there is a “****ing, Austria” Seriously. How messed up is that?It isn’t really a dictionary if you think about it because not all words are underline…mainly swear words and things like LMAO ROFL or WTF. Well anyway nice screwing around with it yeah and can you belive it? They added even more smileys! Come on people on AIM switch to trillian! Smiley wars are fun (lol @spike)! I pity those that use AIM. Well question for you people out there: Why when it loads does it say Trillian Basic and the things that popup that tell me someone signed on read Trillian Pro? It confuses me and yeah I’m easily confused.
