Well you gotta remember this is an alpha version. Nowhere near finished so it’s supposed to have bugs. In my case I haven’t experienced any serious problems. I’ve been testing everything and the only thing I’ve found is that in irc chat, when you change your nickname in a room it changes but it doesn’t change on the room list or when you type. (I know it changes because people tell me)
Another thing I’ve noticed which isn’t a bug but something Trillian Pro 2 had and that you can customize a certain font, color and size for aim, MSN and etc etc individually. I expect this to be added in the final version of Pro. I don’t know if that was also an option in the free one.
If all you people have to complain then I’m going to have to raise my hand and complain as well! All right here’s the problem: Whenever someone sends me an IM that’s longer than one line the second and etc. lines are always pure yellow! The first line is always their font, but I can only read the ones after the second if I highlight the text! This is really starting to make me mad…

Congrats Spike on 500! BigBlueElite! I have yet to get 300…no wait that might happen today…5 more 🙂Can I install this Alpha version just to try it, without affecting my current Trillian 2.0? So if I don’t like 3.0, I dont have uninstall everything and re-download 2.0 again.

Yes.. Just install to a different folder then you have 2.0 installed to.

Turns out this is a bug in the current alpha release. According to one of the devs it should be fixed in the next build, you’ll have to wait till then.

Has anyone played with the Idle options in the “Away Mode” section?
I loved the idle feature in .637 which had idling based only on when you IMed people, meaning you could use your computer and go idle, but when you talk to become un-idle. I loved that feature and it hasn’t been available since, and every time I asked for it on Trillian boards, I was ignored.
On v3, I see a similar feature in “Away Mode” but it doesn’t seem to work. Anyone have any luck with this?
I’ve tried. No luck unfortunately. That’s a real good feature to have. I hope it can work in the Final version.

Oh actually it’s this one http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/sneakpreview/ just go there and click on the feature you want to know about. It gives you a list of if Basic has it or if Pro has it. This list is for the new Trillian 3 though…wow, I just got the trillian 3 basic. I love it. its just as good as the former pro versions. wow, I’m amazed!!!!:eek:
yeah I have 3 basic… it’s great, but I hate how you have to update it near daily… it gets hard on a 56k
