Is their a version of Trillian for Mac OS X?
No, currently there is only a version for Windows. It’s kinda sad when people post these kind of questions because all you have to do is go explore their website! It’s not hard!
Someone else could have a variation of the product. Kind of like KaZaA-Lite. But KaZaA doesnt advertise KaZaA-Lite on their website now do they.
Kazaa-Lite is not rewritten to fit on a totally different platform, if your looking for Mac software, check out IChat.
Also be sure to check out our own Introduction to iChat. iChat is compatible with iChat (duh!) and AIM.
Another Mac OS X messenger you should consider is Fire, which like Trillian, supports AIM, MSN, ICQ, IRC, Yahoo, and Jabber. Oh yeah… it’s FREE!
Thank you Jeff! That is all I wanted with absolutely no help from magistyk over there.
No problem, Stitches. By the way, yes you CAN put images in your signature, but please make sure they comply to the size guidelines set in our Forum Policies.
Takes a little creativity, but I’m often willing to overlook minor deviations for a creative solution that doesn’t overpower the forum (or bog it down too much).
Fire’s not bad, but it’s pretty unstable…I get about an hour of use out of it before it crashes. iChat AV is not all that much better, honestly. iChat may be the best IM client for the Mac, ever, but multiplatform is killer.
Apple was able to do what was suppposedly illegal and impossible with the iTunes store; maybe iChat AV can go multi IM? 😡
