i was able to loan from work a cool brand almost new wireless bb laptop 🙂 which i should never have to return 😉
but i dont have total control over it and there are some administration blocks on it. i can not install on the hard drive BUT if i create my own folders then i can bypass and do as i please but Yahoo! messenger creates it’s own directory to which the computer just says admin restriction wont let you install
i can save that little pre install file ok but the main install is the trouble
any ideas ?

If you just want to chat through Yahoo protocol, you can install Trillian or Gaim. These dont need any admin priveleges.
Other than creating directories, Yahoo messenger install also creates some registry entries which it cant add from a limited user account.
