for some reason, on my yahoo messenger at work, i can’t tell if the person is typing. i like seeing that, but it doesnt work for some reason. i’ve reinstalled to the newest version of messenger and the typing indicator still does not work. can this be fixed???
Are you behind a firewall? If so, that could be it. I know nothing works right for me at work and I’m behind one. I’m always visible even though I’ve set my light to be invisible and it won’t go away.
yeah, i am behind a firewall. and yes, i have that problem too, being visible, when actually i have logged off. i also have the problem of others not getting my messages or sometimes i don’t get their messages. how come yahoo is always messed up???
Well, I guess you better get used to Yahoo being messed up! It seems as though it is always something! But, things could be worse I guess! What would we do without it? 😀

Probably not be as frustrated with yet another problem on a messenger hehe.
If any of your friends at your workplace are able to connect with “No proxies” connection, then you can try this.
Uninstall the yahoo messenger 5.6 (if you have installed the latest version) and revert back to the older yahoo msgr 5.5. It worked for me. Refer “Connection problems please help :((” topic in this forum.
It worked for me. Hope it works for you too.
