Today, 12th of April 2004, uin#40000 is sending a trojan website to owners of five digit uins.
www[/b].geocities.com/clarawebpage [Note from admin — I’ve disabled this link to protect the ignorant ;)]
DO N O T OPEN IT !!!!
The real page content is:
div>
ge="JavaScript" src="http://geocities.com/js_source/geov2.js">
anguage="javascript">geovisit();
It seems that is an activity of a Turkish hacker Kadir Basol.
i found this post in google
i got a message form some Clara
i went to the website “she” had in her profile to see if “she” was real or some bot
i clicked on the stop button and decided to google for that website before visit it
and this is how I got to this thread
how can I tell if I stopped in time, or I got infected with that virus?
Do a virus and Ad-Aware scan.
Do a virus and Ad-Aware scan.
it’s not an adware
it’s a trojan, you get infected by simply visiting a web page, nothing more than that
and the attacker can do whatever he wants with your computer
it turned out I wasn’t infected, but I gathered information and downloaded the trojan files and sent to to Mcafee, MooSoft (The Cleaner) and Norton
Mcafee and MooSoft added it to their DAT files, The Cleaner can now detect it, Mcafee will detect it in the next DAT files update, and Norton are idiots (that’s why I don’t use Norton, I use Mcafee)
i reported that page to GeoCities too, they removed it
the world is now a better place 😉
