PMSN
MemberGreetings
I have added a picture to more adequately articulate my problem.
I can not change “My Display Name” because of this nuisance, aswell as any options.
If anyone has any ideas of how to rectify this issue, please respond.
Thank You

MemberYou can choose if you want MSN to display you as idle after a certain time without activity. You can do this by typing in say “5” in the minutes box to show you as idle after 5 minutes. I;m guessing you’ve accidentally left this blank…either tick off the option for this to happen or type in the amount of minutes you want

Your right, however if you look closely at the picture. I’m unable to select any of “My Status”, the options there are all grey.

ParticipantMan that’s weird…
Create a file called idle.reg, and put this in it:
Code:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftMSNMessenger]
“IdleThreshold”=hex:05,00,00,00Import that to the registry and see if it still has that message, I don’t think it will enable the option though.

MemberI tried what you said, but it didnt change anything.
I also reinstalled and deleted all of MSN Messenger registry files. That didnt work (still had the same problem), so I tried installing MSN 5.0 and still had the same problem!
