I am gettin an error unable to connect even after doin the connection wizard,Any help would be appreaciated.
Yes apparently there seems to be a problem with many msn users globally at the moment. You get the error code 0x81000314 right? I was just having the same and here’s what I did to solve it. It worked for me.
Download this file and open. It will register all the missing .dll’s that Messenger needs in order to function properly.

This dosnt work, it was an hotmail.co.uk issue as i was getting the same error code with all my hotmail.co.uk accounts, but could sign in fine with all my hotmail.com accounts. This happened a few weeks ago too and took a good few hours to be rectified.
This is a problem with some certain accounts as you say it and normally all it needs is patience as it will fix itself eventually.
In my case though my account isn’t hotmail.co.uk and when I used that file it worked =)I now can not send any offline messages at all. It’s always been problematic for me but now it’s just gone down completely. Is this because of today’s problems do you think? Is there anything at all I can do about this Offline Message problem? Nobody seems able to help me with this.
I wish it worked for me! I have only had a problem with Windows Live Messenger today on both my computers. Never usually have any trouble at all connecting. I am continually getting a 81000314 error message today. Are others getting the same problem? Thank goodness for WebMessenger!
What’s your location michali? I’m in Europe and I haven’t had any problens today with Windows Live Messenger. All it needs is time and it fixes itself.
I’m in the Bahamas and my sister who is in the UK had some problems earlier today but not for too long. I have not been able to log in at all today. I see some of my friends here do not seem to have had any problems. I guess I should be patient! It is just so unusual!
Yeah! Back on again…it must have been the server but it just seemed to go on so long yesterday…not used to such problems!
I’m having the same problem today, and it’s been very persistent in not letting me on or correcting itself. Does anyone out there know what causes this in the first place?

Yeah I’ve had the same problem… I have tried patience, but it has been 4 days since I’ve been able to sign in. I tried that DLL thing PrinceG put here, but I think it is a problem with the account, since somebody elses account I tried worked fine… I think im running out of patience, is there nothing else that can be done? 🙁
