ok I have posted this problem on in the forums before and got no help and I really need this fixed so I thought I would post it again. well I dont know what happened but for somereason my javascript links dont work when I click them. I have tried new browsers and spyware/addware removers. nothing seems to help. this is really bothering me because I cant check my hotmail. will someone please help me solve this problem I would be so thankful.

i am using microsoft internet explorer and my version of java is Java Version:1.4.2_05 from Sun Microsystems Inc. one web site it doesnt work on is this forum I am unable to click the smileys.
He’s not having a problem with Java. He’s having a problem with javascript links. This is completely different from the Java software.
Have you tried lowering your Internet Explorer security settings? Or by chance you disabled Javascript in the options somehow?
In IE, go to Tools>Internet Options. Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab and you should see a “restore defaults” button. Click that.
Then, click on the SECURITY tab. Reset the security level to LOW temporarily and click OK. Now try and test it and see if websites’ javascript links will work.
Well Java 1.4.2_05 I believe is BETA SOFTWARE,you should have 1.4.2_03 which was the last stable release…….
I dunno if this is causing your problems,but might be worth looking into…….Review other Java versions (including 1.4.2_03) HERE..
I am staying with 1.4.2_03 until the next release becomes FINAL…..

i tried the security tab thing and it didnt help another example is the aim shortcut above my post I cant click it because it uses a javascript link. im still downloadin the other java thing though the dude so hopefully that will help. Let me know if you two have anymore suggestions. Thanks for trying to help
Is it just a virus scanner? Or an all-in-one package? Some software firewalls have the ability to block certain things in IE. But they can also be known to cause problems.
Besides the AIM javascript links, what other places have you tried? Because if just the AIM links aren’t working. Then it might be an issue with AIM.
i have tried links on hotmail.com inside the mailbox I cant click on my emails and also here is the first issue I found was here http://www.deathclock.com/findadeath.cfm I am unable to click on any of the names.
