MemberI was wondering if anyone else has downloaded WLM and is experiencing unusually long sign-in times?
When I first downloaded it, it was fine. I got the WLP! for it right away, and it was still a normal sign-in time. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now, and just yesterday, it took about 7 minutes to sign in =S.
I thought it was maybe a one-time thing, but it happens every time I sig-in now.
And about halfway through the sign in, the WLM icon in the system tray is just the green guy, looking normal like I already signed in.Is this happening to anyone else?
More importantly, can anyone help? It’d be greatly appreciated =]

MemberI have the same problem. I downloaded WLM yesterday and it takes several minutes to log in and gives me a connection error with the message “due to a connection problem, changes you make might not be applied to other computers you use”. Besides that everything else works fine

MemberSame problem with me. Exactly the same things are happening to a lot of users…
What a plage…
The odd about this problem is that if you log in using a previous version of MSN or if you use the webMessenger, both will log in as usual!!!
Besides, this is not happening to everyone… So odd..
Ow… I can`t forget to mention the fact that Microsoft is giving us no support at all concerning this problem!
I mean, this is not our problem, it`s theirs!!!!Anyway, I hope they solve this problem quickly..

ParticipantYou’re right, it’s their problem. I’ve had issues too with unusually slow log-in times. This whole mess that has been created lately with log-ins and contact lists on WLM has probably to do with the WLM & Yahoo Interoperability..
I think the only thing we can do is cross our fingers for now and be patient. But as mentioned before, there are a few alternatives at the moment such as Web Messenger or a prievous version of MSN.

Anyway, I hope they solve this problem quickly..I’m having the same problems as the ones you mentioned on this page guys, PLUS the one that I’m describing in a different post within this subforum (regarding the NON notifications when MSN Messenger users (prior to WLM8)are adding me as their contact … which is REALLY annoying … I never know who has added me unless one of them finally decides to start complaining to me “what’s the matter with you, don’t you want to chat with me now??”, etc …) Plus I lose some others to whom I’ve sent my email address so they can add me but I don’t have theirs to add/contact them myself… 🙁 How can I report this issue directly to the Microsoft WLM8 Developers ?… any URL guys ?

MemberJust for the record, I guess I represent those who DON’T have this problem!
I’ve had Build 792 of WLM since it came out, and it always loads within 10-20secs for me.
I haven’t a “fast” PC, and I have about 130 buddies on my list. I also have recently installed Messenger Plus too, but nothing seems to make mine login slowly. But I sure sympathise with you guys…. and hope you might come up with some way of improving it.
