Yesterday we released an updated version of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 (9.0.0.2136). This latest version includes fixes that should help those that were having problems installing 9.0 It should also alleviate problems that may have been caused by software conflicts with antivirus programs or add-ons like Speedbit Video Accelerator.

They still fail for the amount of unpatched server-side vulnerabilities. Perhaps I should post security bulletins to the major security websites about these vulnerabilities? But I have a feeling that wouldn’t respond to any bulletins. I’ve even e-mailed the developers and security over these vulnerabilities and they fall on deaf ears.
But Yahoo is aware of them, and they try to patch a couple of them by lowering the data size of the packets but the malicious users get around this by using lower sized packets and more bots.
Shame on Yahoo.
