?After having figured out my computer does not have USB 2.0 I started looking for other options since I recently bought an mp3 player and need it for faster transferring. I came across this usb card on NewEgg and this one in CompUSA. My question is, does any usb card work for my computer? I don’t see it say any requirements on that site. Does that mean it’ll automatically work with my motherboard or whatever part of my computer it has to function with? My laptop has 2.0 usb but the thing is I have all my music on my desktop computer and I don’t feel like transferring ALL that music to my laptop. 😛
Also, what are good trustworthy brands for pci cards or in my case the usb 2.0 usb card. Any recommendations?
I know the one on CompUSA will work because it says it will work on both Windows and Mac, I think it is probably the same for the one on NewEgg. My advice would be to get the one at CompUSA because I know it will work and it is cheeper;) It should automaticly work with your system, unless there is an install disk, but I think that would be all.
Either one of those would work for you as long as you have a free PCI slot to spare inside your computer. I’m guessing you’d just plug it in and boot it up, and you’re set to go. That is how mine worked when I got it off Ebay for $5 (including shipping). And it works great.
