Okay this user, austinsrealm, has had 3 threads deleted by me and one by amy for pirated software offering and for trying to teach malicious tricks. In the msn section today he posted about how to kick users off of it and should be deleted also. He always posts his same site which is his yahoo group site but includes all types of bad things.
His site–>(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/the_creator/).Was just wondering if he should deserve a ban or something.
April 13, 2006 at 5:20 pm #142376shifterParticipantHe is definately within banning reasons. However, I would like to know if he has been issued any warnings about his behavior. I see alot of deleted posts, but this does not tell him what he is doing wrong. Regular users do not see the deleted reasons as we do, so he may not realise he is violating our forum rules. So, I will issue him a final warning right now, and if he posts again in violation let me know and he will be banned.
April 13, 2006 at 7:57 pm #142379NessaParticipantWhen i first tried to issue him a warning was through e-mail but got this message:
Quote:Sorry! That user has specified that they do not wish to receive emails. If you still wish to send an email to this user, please contact the administrator and they may be able to help.So i ended up not sending anything. Then the time about the yahoo voice lagger, i sent you a private message about deleting it but since it was a yahoo group you told me it was a legit site. So even though i did see him putting his site up again i didn’t delete it unless he was offering the illegal keys. It wasn’t until today that i actually saw the content of his site completely that i saw that his link shouldn’t be allowed at all. It has everything from booters and ip grabbers to key loggers. Due to that i decided to post that information to see what should be done. Since he’s been posting here for a while i think he would know better and realize his posts are getting deleted since they contain malicious material that isn’t allowed, but i guess you never know. So thanks for sending him a warning then.
April 13, 2006 at 10:25 pm #142377shifterParticipantI used the PM for sending the warning, though I can look up email addresses through the admin modcp. When I looked at the Yahoo Group site previously I did not notice any illegal keys and such, so either I missed it or he’s added it recently. Anyway, that’s obviously something we can’t control. Posting this info on our forums though is something we can control and should be warning and banning if it continues. I don’t like to ban without sufficient warning unless it’s an obvious spammer or malicious person. But he’s been warned now and the next problem will force a ban. Thanks for keeping on top of this Vanessa. 🙂
April 17, 2006 at 12:09 pm #142372OreoMemberShifter….this is that same kid “Austin” that was causing problems a year or two back…he tends to sign up with different forms of “austin” every time and has been banned more than once. I think this kid has some sort of vendetta against BBB and will post anything malicious he can on here….sad really.
April 18, 2006 at 1:12 am #142380NessaParticipantHis site on Yahoo! Groups is now shut down. I think Yahoo actually listened to my report abuse on his site after giving them the reasons on why it should be shut down. Unless someone else reported it too? But it happened a bit after i reported it and they e-mail me telling me that they had taken appropriate action and when i tried the site it was shut. I know he’ll probably just go find another place to put all his files up again but at least he’s been stopped for now.
