I was just curious, does it cost anyone to send txt messages from msn messenger?
e.g. The reciever or the sender?
Thanks.
It doesn’t cost money to send a message from your computer to a cell phone, but the reciever will likely have to pay to recieve the message. It only costs money to send and recieve from a cell phone, there is no way to charge you if you send a message from your home computer.
You have to buy credit in advance to send a text message from MSN to a mobile – it works out at about 10p so about the same as sending from a phone. The same goes for sending a text from a mobile to MSN. You can buy credit in varying amounts, but of course in the UK at the moment, that particular feature is not working/has been withdrawn/was never there (depending on which technical support person replies to your question!

The cost to the recipient depends on their mobile plan. I use Cingular “Blue” (formerly AT&T Wireless) and all incoming text messages are free. I only have to pay to send a text message FROM my mobile phone.
As Shifter noted, it doesn’t cost you anything to send a text message from a computer to a mobile phone.
