how exactly do I use the proxie setting on my yahoo messenger? I tried entering good proxies and leaving the other settings as they were ,im speaking if the ports being used. but I cant connect to yahoo it tells methe servers must be down.i change my setting back to no proxies and it connects fine.
Well, which one of the 2 proxy’s did you enable, HTTP or SOCKS proxy?
For the HTTP proxy to work, you have to enter a valid HTTP proxy server, and same with the SOCKS proxy, but the SOCKS proxy’s don’t come free. You can find some annonymous HTTP proxies, but they will most likely be really slow, so I dont’ know if that would be a good option for you. Also, check the port that you use to connect the proxy, and make sure that it matches the proxy connection port in your yahoo IM.
