Hi i’m new to this forums, i like to give some information about Video Conference cart, let my first post will be worth for everyone. A video conference cart is basically something that has all the components necessary to complete a video conference, but does not have the bulk of a regular video conferencing unit. Also, most normal video conferencing units are not portable but if you get one of these carts, you will be able to transport your video conferencing needs anywhere you need to go. Most of them are small enough that you will be able to fit them in a standard size car or truck and transport them to whatever location you need to conduct your video conference from.
If you people know any other points or suggestion, you can share your points and information with me, thank youDecember 7, 2007 at 5:17 pm #165610Jeff HesterKeymasterThanks Rebecka, and welcome to BigBlueBall. Video conferencing tends to fall into one of two extremes: on the high-end used at larger organizations, you have very expensive equipment and entire rooms dedicated to video conferencing. On the other end of the spectrum, you have family members or friends with a webcam, microphone and freely available software.
Today, most instant messaging software includes video “chat” capability; Skype, WLM, Yahoo, iChat and AIM all provide easy, free video capabilities. The one area that they tend to fall short is in handling multiple parties (more than two people connected at a time). And of course, the quality varies based on the equipment, computer power, available bandwidth, etc.
Are you looking for more information about video conferencing, or is this an area where you have expertise to share?
