ParticipantHi …. is there a way I can view archives while I am offline …… I was using ‘yahoo archive decoder’, which I got from ‘www.shifthis.net’ but it is not free and has now stopped working, after using it for about a month ( I got addicted to it meanwhile) with the message that ” you have to register it …. blah blah blah ” any suggestions ?

ParticipantLooks free to me. Try downloading straight from Carbonize. I haven’t seen a registration prompt yet from my experience with it.

MemberI wrote most parts of the decoding/rendering that goes on behind the scenes, carbonize wrote the rest but I’m pretty sure it’s not got any limits.
I just checked your page shifter, it’s a different one, it’s not ours?

MemberAs Fweddy said he wrote the decoding routines and I wrote everything else. There is no limitations the program is freely given in fully working order. I’m not beyond accepting money though or even asking nicely for people to click the Google ads on my site 😉

MemberI just downloaded the Archive Reader from http://www.shiftthis.net and despite it creditting Fweddy and I in the post the attached program is not ours.

ParticipantSorry guys, I seem to have mistakenly linked to the wrong program there. My apology’s to both of you. The link is now fixed to download the correct archive reader. I didn’t even know I had the other one. Whoops!
