When I try to send an instant message . aim sends me 1 back that says there is an error, that I am signed in somwhere else but I aint. can som1 tell me wut to do
HSScott is absolutely right. As an old member of VM, I know that you cannot get AIM access on any phone. Also, my advice: Stop using VM, its too expensive, .25 a minute?? Go with another company with cheaper minutes.
This topic has been Posted about SOO many times. I know personaly I have atleast told 3 as of now that VM does not work for aim forwarding. Sorry for seeming rude but just use the search engine people.peace out.

as I was a previous user of virgin mobile.. AIM is on ONLY A FEW PHONES THEY PRODUCED!!! I called and asked because my best friend had AIM on her virgin mobile phone and could see her buddy list and send and reply messages.. this is not the case anymore.. virgin mobile said it had too many errors in the service.. thus, my friend dropped her phone in water.. and to reprogram her phone, AIM was gone..hmm..
you can get your ims automatically sent to your VM cellphone, you get charged to reply but heres how:
Heres what I did:
Step 1: http://www.imforwards.com, sign up now
step 2: select forward to email, enter email address as yournumber@vmobl.com (example 5555555555@vmobl.com), click yes I agree
step 3: activate email, get code from phone, enter code on website, hit activate
step 4: click IM accounts(right hand side in control panel), enter your AIM info, select “imForwardingâ„¢ Destination” email and “imForwardingâ„¢ Status” on
step 5: Look for “Account Status: INACTIVE” then hit start service (right side below control panel.
step 5: enjoyDon’t worry you wont get charged for email because its not an email its yor text message address. FYI people can also Text you by sending an email to yournumber@vmobl.com.
You can also receive emails to yournumber@vmpix.com (ex 5555555555@vmpix.com) but those you get charged as emails (going rate is $.25 each (for me atleast).
