virtual memory problem

I’m not sure how it happened but suddenly it looks like I always running out of virtual memory so fast (an error message popped up saying not enough virtual memory), some games lost the sound, hang when opening few pages only, windows installer running automatically when I open outlook express (it said installing Microsoft office, but I clicked cancel immediately because I already have it) and comp slows down. Looks like it got a virus or sth. I checked the setting for virtual memory is 180-380MB. I’ve also scanned with adaware, spybot, AVG, but found nothing. Any idea what’s wrong? Tks.

PS: Im using winXP pro

Have you got sufficient space left on the Hard Drive?

I still have about 12 GB in hard drive. Before it was OK.
