ParticipantIf ANY mail gets into your bulk mail folder its for a reason. Its simple. If you get a email from someone you dont know, dont open it. And if you find the urge you must, scan it with the emails filter system. They do work great. And if you find it, report it to yahoo with the link they provide you in the letter.
I get about 3 virus emails a day. Some of them dont even have a name for a sender. heh.June 26, 2003 at 5:55 am #60708Brian
MemberMy pleasure, coolguy.
When I would get the worm virus from someone I knew, she happened to open the virus. She kept opening which would send people on her list the virus. I had sent her a message to let her know about the problem, which didn’t do any good so I had to block her E-mail addresses from getting through and I deleted every one in my address book so no one on my list would get it from me. Now I am in the habit not saving E-mail addresses in my address book, which is not a problem for me. I can memorize E-mail addresses most of times. 🙂

Memberokie ppl
here comes another of those virus mails!!!!
i got the mail from “Anshuman” and the subject read as “joke”!!! well the biggest trap is that, indeed u find a joke in the mail i.e. when you open it, there is a joke but its only half way through, what i mean is joke is half and there is a attachment also named “12.tpp.scr”!! i think most of the ppl will think the joke is continued in the file and will download the attachment without scanning!!! But the attachment contains a virus called W32.Bugbear.B@mm!! so beware!!!;)P.S.: I have changed the name of the topic so that no body ignores it

well oreo, there is nothing wrong in opening mails from strangers!!! its wrong if you dwonload the attachment!!! it is what contains the viruses!!! but to be on safer side, its better not to open mails from stranger!!! even if u opened it then dont forget to block the mail address as there are prog which track ur mail!!i.e if u clicked on the mail a message will be sent indicating ur account is active, so more spam mails
PS hey did i contradict my point only??? lol

MemberYou made sense…and thanks for the tip about the trackers…some people really have no respect for others….I think that’s what it boils down to…that and they have too much time on their hands!
