Hi All
I am using MSN messanger 6.2 and have DSL connection. I have installed UPNP(Universal Plug & Play). When I switch off Winxp firewall VoicChat works otherwise not. This method I came to know recently after visiting differnet MSN related forums.
Problem occured few months ago when I started using different anti spy softwares. Before that I never know that there is a Firewall in winxp/UPNP, also VoiceChat was working fine.
Now I want VoiceChat to work when winxp firewall is enabled. There are different firewall settings but no one is ticked on my machine.
Any Idea ? what to do ?
Thankx
KJ
6 days gone and no reply 😮 🙁
Dont use windows xp firewall. Use kerio personall firewall or sygate or zone alarm free. You cannont tell it tell to open port so and so and fully allow app so and so. The built in xp firewall sucks. Get a real and good and free one that I posted above.
Might’ve helped if you’d given a link for one of the free firewalls…:p
Zone alarm is available Here
Just press “Download Free Zone Alarm”
dread & Red Devil thanx for the reply. 🙂
I will try to setup zone alaram. Lets see whether it works or not.
