Hey!
I recently bought a Mustek GSm@rt mini 3 Webcam, and installed it. Everything works fine, I can download the pictures from the camera (it also takes pictures, btw), I can recharge its batteries, and… I can even use it as a full-working Webcam in Microsoft NetMeeting…
But in MSN Messenger 6 it just won’t work… Is it because it’s not a Logitech Webcam?
Or maybe, is it my camera that’s not DirectShow v6 compliant?
Anyway, I think that’s preety odd… It really works fine with NetMeeting… Anyone knows how can I fix this? (btw, in the “Webcam settings” dialogue box, in Messenger 6, it won’t even detect the camera).
Thanks!
My guess would be the huge ammount of specifications msn needs. Once is was runabble on a 166MHZ machine but now its something like 200MHZ which i think is processor hungry. If other messenger progs can do load of stuff with a 166MHZ system why cant MSN. If you go to the offical Mustek webiste and access support check you have the latest drivers installed and check for any incompatibility issues. Its always best to check for any other forum posts about Mustek GSm@rt mini 3 Webcam. Hope this helps. Do remove your old drivers before installing new ones.
