I have it set in Preferences that people have to ask my permission to view my webcam but it’s not working. I’m in the chatroom and I see that like ten people are viewing and i never got a box that popped up asking for them to view. It just lets them.:confused:I dun’t know how to fix it.
Yes I have noticed Yahoo messengers tendency to forget that setting myself. Personally I would suggest using a chat client for use in the rooms instead. Most support webcam now.
There is one other thing to check… go to your Preferences. Underneath the check boxes for Always Ask for Permission, etc. is a check box for chatrooms. If that is checked it will override all your other options & allows people in chat rooms to view without asking!!! I have also noticed that since upgrading to 5.6 I have to make sure my cam settings are set properly EVERY time I use the cam. Yet another nuisance!! Hope this helps.
