Hi
When I try to view users’ webcams, I simply get a message “Waiting for Permission” and a really really small window. The window appears to be stuck because I don’t get a “receiving images” “you don’t have permission” or whatever
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mike
I have the same problem…. however, I will elaborate some more.
XP Pro w512mb, dsl w/netgear router
I opened port 5100 on my windows firewall, and router.
The main part of the webcam window says “Waiting for permission….”,
however, the status bar says “connecting…”
I was getting an error “this person’s webcam is not avaliable”, however today that changed to “network error connecting to server”.
The person i am trying to view, has several other people who can view their webcam over yahoo messenger just fine, so i doubt it’s them.
Is there a windows firewall or router setting i have overlooked?
this is driving me nuts!
helllllllp!
lol
mjc2002 – I would start with a fresh install, make sure you manually delete the “Yahoo!” folder in program files after running the uninstall(note: this will delete any archeives). Also what version are you using? Have you always had this problem? If not can you think of any recent changes to your pc, router, or ISP?
lexington_scoundrel – Please give us time to try to help. Sometimes we see your question but don’t post right away because we are researching the problem. Somtimes it may take a day or two. I have the same questions for you…
