This is a thread for those who are non-full time students.
Curious, what do you do for a living? Where do you work (if you don’t mind saying) and what schooling and or training have you done to be where you are now?
November 3, 2007 at 3:18 am #165152PhilipModeratorOh, OK. I’m a piano teacher, teaching at home. I also play two nights a week at a hotel here. Besides that, I service and build computers for clients. And I’ve just started teaching English to Japanese students.
I’ve got a Bachelor of Music from the University of Arizona.

November 7, 2007 at 11:50 pm #165151PolarBearNPRParticipantI teach reading to lil kids who “aren’t reaching their potential in the classroom.” I also supervise/train/coordinate our volunteer reading tutors (15 of the most dedicated, outstanding individuals I have ever met), lead the Science Club (muahahahaha), lead the Safety Patrol, and tutor kids after school and over the summer. I’ve got a BS in Elementary Education and a MA in Applied Behavioral Science, Training and Development.
Aren’t ya glad ya asked?

Looks like a good company to work for! I’m not familiar with the product though . . . of course, I’m told I’m sweet enough already so don’t need the infusion of sugar. Is it available to consumers or just for corporate-type accounts?
And det . . . what do YOU do for a living, etc.?

November 8, 2007 at 4:28 pm #165147TigerbladeParticipantI’m an “associate content coordinator” — which is a different way of saying project manager (or email monkey) — for the Electronic Communications team, which controls the public web site for a large international corporation.
November 8, 2007 at 8:04 pm #165149sarahtownyMemberI’m a lawyer, working more hours than should be allowed. :pSaying that I love my job, mainly due to the fact I never know everything always always learning even after 15 years every day is an adventure. Adore it!!
I deal in contract law, business terms and conditions, jurisdiction law but my main responsibility is that I am the manager of the commercial debt collection team.

Well, I actually work at a collection agency, in attempts to recover funds from student loans, credit cards and phone/internet bills.

LOL! The IRS once seized my way the hell overdrawn bank account. I had $1500 in overdraft protection. I had spent that and bounced one check and thats when they grabbed it. I laughed my butt off, thinkin’ “Well… that was somebody’s tax dollars at work.”:p
That was back when everyone in the real estate business in Austin was going bankrupt and I worked for them.
Then, after being chosen as Apartment Manager of the year for which I got a plaque and a pay cut, I sold everything I owned and hit the road doing stand up comedy.
Now I mostly paint stuff and help people.:D
