Memberchikenkicker is an unknown quantity at this point?

MemberI believe that’s the reputation. I’m not 100% sure how it works, but I imagine as you accumulate, or lose (as the case may be) reputation points, then this statement will change, for example, mine says, “MartinBradley is on a distinguished road.”
Hope that helps.

ParticipantI guess this happens when you have less than 10 rep points, cause it happened to me also, I had 11 and now I have 8 and im unknown quantity, so i suppose thats what it means, but I’m not really sure.

MemberSomebody may have given you a negative post opinion, therefore putting your reputation down a couple of points. Mine is currently on 14.
You can check the number by clicking on the, “My BigBlueBall” link above, and opposite, “Latest Reputation Received”, it tells you the number of points. Obviously, the higher the points, the better the reputation.

Memberyeah somehow im 7, i just wish i knew who gave me a negative rep thing just to find out why

MemberI wouldn’t worry about it, over time, if your posts are of sufficient quality, the reputation will reflect this. Obviously you can’t please everyone with your posts, and you may get the occasional person who just gives you a negative post for “a joke”. (Oh, hilarious I know, but it can happen)

Memberi guess you’re right i shouldnt worry about it, i mean its just a reputation that i didnt even cause, only thing i know about it going down is where it took place and that was another thread i made “what programs are good to make good graphics”

MemberGo to “my bigblueball” and then you’ll see it will say something about latest reputation receieved. If they didn’t put a comment unfortunately there’s no way to find out why. I think if some one is giving you a good or bad rep that an explanation is something that helps people understand why. Don’t worry if your points fluctuate, as long as your in the green…it really does not matter… IF you feel that some one is dinging you unfairly, let one of us mods or Jeff know. It’s that simple… but there are measures in place to keep one person from giving continous and constant high or low reputation to the same person. It’s a long complicated process and I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea…so just don’t worry as long as you’re in the green. Besides….once people are around here long enough they get to know who is who. It has basically been stated in a similar topic to this; the reps are most helpful for new members and guests who are looking for a quick, quality answer. 🙂
