 Does anybody know what %s is used for on AIM? I’m not sure, but I’ve heard of it. I know what %n, %d and %t do. If it does anything important, can somebody who knows please tell me. Thanx 🙂
August 11, 2003 at 10:05 pm #57389ShadowSlayer469Member%s autimatically inserts the person viewing your away message’s screen name, %d is date and %t is time. Don’t worry if you look at your own away message and it doesn’t work, it will work for others.
August 11, 2003 at 10:07 pm #57388Someguy03MemberActually %s is displays your sn and %n displays the person viewing your away messages sn.
August 12, 2003 at 3:41 am #57385KPK102MemberActually, Shadow is right….
%s-that person’s sn
%n-Your’s that is why the new AIM it has the problem with the away.August 12, 2003 at 3:42 am #57387Someguy03MemberI know, im not talking about now, im talking about how it should be.
August 12, 2003 at 3:43 am #57384KPK102MemberNevermind…someguy is right..lol
When that person is viewing it the %n is there’s duh! and %s is the person viewing it-Yours.
August 12, 2003 at 6:41 pm #57390Road_RunnerMemberI’ve never heard of %s…Anyway, “%n” definitely is when the viewers see their screenames in one person’s away message. So, if B1 posts a message with the word “%n” B2 and B3 will each see their own screenames in the message. Don’t tell me the new version of AIM also has errors.
August 12, 2003 at 6:47 pm #57386Someguy03Memberyes, On your away message they mixed up %s with %n. %s displays your own sn and %n displays the person viewing the away messages sn. Now say i put up a away message and someone im’s me it should say “auto response from someguy03.” it says auto response from the person that im’ed you. so its like i put up the away message and it says you did in a way.
August 22, 2003 at 8:46 am #57391WooHooAdimeMemberdamn can they ever do anything right…to many versions with so many stupid errors
