KeymasterYahoo! is randomly surveying people to find out what features they would most like to see in future versions of Yahoo! Messenger. I thought we would put it to a vote. Feel free to add your comments, too.
What feature would you most like to see added to Yahoo! Messenger?

ParticipantHow about a proper download method.
How about removing HTML features to eliminate booting for good.
How about removing the follow a friend into a chat.
How about a “blocking feature” to temporarily block contacts, rather “ignoring” them.
How about a better file transfer system.
How about knocking off any font size higher than 15, both in IM, and chat.
How about more/better tabs for patents out side the U.S.Damn…….. if Yahoo wants to run side MSN and AIM/AOL IM they need to do a lot.

MemberI personally want all of the above. Then again, I’m not picky 😀 and if Yahoo! just wants to work right for ONE day… amen.

MemberI would want the avatars (display pictures/buddy icons) feature in Yahoo! That would be one of the coolest features, but I also pretty much agree with what detn8r said, they do need to do a lot.

MemberI’m a sucker for avatars, I’d go for them. 🙂

MemberI want a secure yahoo that cannot be booted and a reveal feature when being attacked by small ‘certain’ anatomical parts people……… that had a dominating mother.

MemberI just want them to actually make a decent client.
If they are going to be stealing ideas from MSN and AIM, which will most likely occur.
You thought booting was bad before?
Wait till after these “new” features are implimented.
Buddy Icons = very good way of booting.
My suggestion to yahoo is to go back to basics.
And start from scratch.

MemberPM Privacy!!! Yahoo has allowed private messages to be read and archived. For all the supposed fixes Yahoo has put out there they have neglected to deal with this core issue. Why???
Also, like some one else posted, the ability to remove your name off of some one elses list.February 3, 2004 at 9:51 pm #51151Whitney1321
Memberi think they need a better password retrieval system… not everyone wants to put their real birthday in and its not fair if you 4get what one you entered… ur screwed 4ever (happened to me and im pissed). so yea, i think that they deff. need to change that system… to be honest, if some1 knows ur bday then they can look up ur password… my friend did it to me when we got in a fight, and she changed my bday sumhow (i dont know how to do that) and so now i cant get in it and im rather pissed…

Membereh as far as booting goes u all make it seem like if u say make it better and make it unbootable ur going nowhere.
the smartest thing to do is to have an alternative messenger from yahoo that periodically sends ur data to then when ur booted offline or anything like so -
