What if the world was just like the Big Blue Ball Forums?
There are leaders, the ones who started it all. They watch carefully for the whole worlds mistakes, their productivity, and monitor everyones beheivor. After a careful process, the leaders appoint new world leaders. These leaders control everything. If a crime is commited, that person is cut off from the world. The person is not “destroyed” but he/she is gone from all of their knowledge. Their mistake is destroyed, and everything goes on like nothing happened. If you happen to do something wrong, or do something you didnt mean to, you may edit everything you just said, and everything is ok. Or, you can erase it all, take back everything you say, and no one will ever even remember. If you have a problem, you state your problem to the whole world, and everyone with an answer, will give their thoughts, their opinions, and their advice. Sometimes within minutes. Everyone is up-to-date on modern utilities (for the most part). Everyone can read, everyone can use a keyboard, and everyone, yes everyone, knows what LOL means. Before you do something, you can preveiw what it will sound like, look like, what other people will think. If you feel like your life is really in the dumps, you can completely start over. Register a new name, a new identity. Advertise, give your opinion, talk around the whole world, get entertainment. And the next day, when you wake up, theres always something new. Someone has a story to read, a game to play, or a problem for you to solve. Thats the world of BBB. Sounds like a pretty cool place to live. 🙂August 23, 2004 at 12:19 am #39460TigerbladeParticipanthey, i’d be willing to move there. actually that’s a pretty good description of bbb, and makes me appreciate it all the more…

August 23, 2004 at 1:52 am #39462lazyturboMemberMeh, sounds too good to be true. Somewhere along the road, one or more of the leaders will turn bad and use his/her control for evil. The system will eventually become corrupted because there are individuals, which were never elected by the people, who are given more power than others.
Haven’t we learned from our history that democracy is the way to go?…LOL:)

BigBlueBall is a microcosm of the real big blue ball we all live on, and we face many of the same challenges. There are opposing views, widely differing perspectives, and the occasional asshole who wants nothing more than to cause trouble.
Tolerance and respect seem to provide serve us well. I wish it were only that easy in the real world.
I really enjoy the different points of view and opinions expressed by the members here at the site. It’s one of the reasons that I’m here day after day. I learn from you, and hopefully, once in a while, you can learn something from me. In the end, we all become a little better.
