what IS a bot exactly?

A bot is the basics of artificial intelligence. The bots refered to in these forum are chatterbots. You say something to them and they are programmed to respond a certsin way. Some people try to get their bot to be human-like.

Btw… Lots-A-Bots is a new bot site. We are launching november 1st. We offer free bots and a few paid packages as well. We are in the middle of beta testing right now. If anybody has experience creating bots, they will find this service to be extremely faster and easier. We aim to provide a free service that is better than all other bot sites’ paid services.

I’ll make sure that I come back here and report the updates… but I don’t see having a problem launching by nov 1st. Let me finish programming the first beta bot and I will show you what this craziness is all about.

We have worked out the issues for the first beta and working in features to be tested in the second.

7. you can create/set/recall variables
8. you can recall the chat log at a depth of 9 inputs and outputs in the past.

11. set “fake” away
12. next reply command with delay
13. wildcard recognition
14. the use of regex in input and log recalling.
15. random picking of a list of entries
16. Buddy icon and info

The next beta includes:

1. Input translating
2. Output translating
3. Count of number of sns talked to bot
4. List of sns talked to bot
5. A bot profile including variables used by bot to “know” itself.
6. Automatic Instant Messaging
7. Automatic Waiting Message
8. Full bot data backups
