MemberI uninstalled AIM Triton about 2 weeks ago, yet I get update notices every 15 minutes.
Can anybody help me?November 4, 2005 at 1:14 am #132908DragonSlayerz
MemberDid you check if you really did uninstall it because you might uninstalled the wrong program. And if its uninstalled, Delete the AIM Triton folder and registry key’s.

Anyways, to help you out LLXerxes, like Dragon said, go delete the AIM Triton Folder in Program Files, then to get rid of all the registry keys, get TweakNow RegCleaner. It goes and finds the registry keys that are safe to get rid of and is very easy to use without messing up your computer.

ParticipantDragonSlayerz… I’m sure he managed to uninstall the correct program. Most people are intelligent enough to figure that much out. What LLXerxes might have missed is some kind of auxiliary program that Triton might use to update. (i dont use Triton and never have, so I’m not sure if that’s the case or not) What you might want to do is go through your program files directory and look for anything AIM related. also try running programs like HiJackThis, Spybot S&D, and AdAware, see if they turn up anything unusual that seems AIM related.

Nope, it didn’t work. I’m still getting re-install updates.
I went to the folder, found uninstall.exe, ran it, then deleted the folder.
Yet, I’m getting updates every 15 minutes.November 4, 2005 at 10:42 pm #132904Tigerblade
Participanthave you run scans from programs like the ones i mentioned earlier? sometimes those will detect things like this, especially hijackthis. give those a try.
