Asymmetrical
ParticipantOkay guys, a week from today (really six days) my new bull terrier pup is going to be six weeks old and I’m going to pick her up.
https://webspace.utexas.edu/smithts4/Pics/puppy%20pics , here are some pictures that can give an idea of what she looked like at 9 days and 3.5 weeks old. If you look in the background of some of the ones labelled 3.5 weeks you will see a stocky brindle male. His name is ‘Fat Boy’ and that is her father. There is no picture of the mother but she is all white except one black left ear.
I’ve been debating about what I’m going to name her. The ones I’ve narrowed it down to are the more unusual names but still ones I like. You’ll notice a portion of them are Arabic and/or Hebrew. This is because I have a real partiality to biblical and quranic names.
Abana – semitic it means made of stone.
Abda – means servant or slave. (Arabic)
Emma – traditional English name in the south
Berlin – just like the city. (I really like this one)
Dagmar – popular German name.
Madrid- just like the city.
Maha – Arabic, means wild cow, or can also mean beautiful eyes. I really like this one.
Muru – Norwegian name. It literally means fun, or entertainment (in Norwegian, it’s spelled Moro, but they pronounce their o’s like we pronounce stand0alone u’s, so I had to change it). I really like this one. What do you guys think? I am open to all suggestions. If you have any other biblical/Hebrew/Arabic names that might be pretty for a female, go ahead and throw them out. In fact throw out any name whatsoever, under one rule: I’m avoiding names containing aspirated sounds (ie s, sh, z, th as in that and as in thin). If your suggestion contains one of those sounds, don’t worry about it.
For those of you not familiar with what a bull terrier is, it’s the Spudz McKenzie dog that budweiser had for its ad campaigns.

and see also
for a profile shot.[edit] I know with bull terriers it’s love ’em or hate ’em. Some folks love the way they look, some folks think it’s the ugliest dog imaginable. I think they are one of the most beautiful, aesthetically pleasing breeds of dog man ever produced. Regardless of your personal feelings about the look of the dogs, I’m still looking for name input. [/edit]
Thanks for the help guys.

KeymasterI’ve never had a god and I don’t think I’ll ever have one but I always thought if I ever managed to get one I’d name it
DeeoGee pronounced (D – O – G) like the sound of each letter. I thought it would be cool. *Shrugs*

See the trouble with doing that is two-fold: Firstly, Spudz is a male; secondly, Spudz is way too common for a Bull Terrier.

ParticipantWow.. how creative! DOG.
My uncle had a bull terrier. He called her Sadie. But from your list, I think that Dagmar is an awesome name.

MemberI just got a cat and her name is “CAT” I just seem to call her Cat so another name I think she may get confused.
Lots of love is what all living creatures need, food and a warm dry place to sleep.😀
