I’ve just switched to a Benq G900W 19″ widescreen TFT, and I love it! Previously I was using a Benq FP93GX normal TFT, but this new widescreen is really cool, with very clear and punchy colors. Great!
February 3, 2008 at 5:16 pm #166683TigerbladeParticipantLaptop… LCD screen.
At work I use an LCD as well.
February 3, 2008 at 6:56 pm #166681detn8rParticipantI use multiple LCD monitors at home, and CRT at work 🙁
February 3, 2008 at 7:44 pm #166682DavidParticipantI’m using a 24″ Gateway LCD display that I picked up a few months ago. I’d never go back to the washed-out TN-technology LCD displays that the stores are packed with. The color reproduction on this panel reminds me of my old CRT. It’s just a little too bright.
February 3, 2008 at 8:46 pm #166680FanaticMemberI use a laptop but when I’m at work, I hook it up dual-screen mode to a CRT. I love running dual screens; I only wish both were LCDs.
February 4, 2008 at 12:43 am #166687MrEggsaladParticipantI’ve got two monitors hooked up (22″ and 20″) both LCD.
February 6, 2008 at 3:56 am #166689MrOatsMemberI use a bulky, non-lcd, (WTF does CRT stand for/mean? I guess I use that…) 15″ HP monitor.
I plan on buying my own computer with an LCD monitor sometime though. I use them at school, and at work, and they are much better than what I have now. 😉
February 6, 2008 at 4:53 am #166693PhilipModeratorCRT=Cathode Ray Tube. The old type of bulky monitors with the protruding backs, and probably weighing a ton…argh!
February 6, 2008 at 12:10 pm #166692PolarBearNPRParticipantBoth of mine are LCD – hand-me-downs from MrEggsalad :p

You’re a sweet Mom, Heather.
February 6, 2008 at 6:47 pm #166685sarahtownyMemberI have two but was not sure what they are called.
Chatting to Jeff at the moment, and as he has been to my house and used mine, I asked him what my comp was. He never saw my laptop as I have just got it but I did ask if it was called anything different as it is wide screen and the the screen is shiny, all he could do was giggle at me 😮

It’s pretty bad over here *looks at huge CRT monitor in disgust*… =/
…Am I the only one with a CRT at home?
February 7, 2008 at 2:48 am #166694PhilipModeratorAw, don’t worry, Andrew. I used CRT for over 10 years, until I switched to TFT last year. Or you could perhaps drop your folks a hint about your next birthday present? 🙂
February 8, 2008 at 4:19 am #166691MrOatsMemberWell, my birthday is coming up… But I can wait a while. 😉
February 8, 2008 at 5:03 am #166684AwesomeSauceParticipantCRT is the technology that everyone had before the pretty-looking flat-panels and stuffs. (I actually still use one).
Also, for those who don’t know the difference: I am extremely disappointed in you. You no longer have a place here at BBB. Bye.
…just kidding. 😉
