MemberIf you’ve already got 0.74 installed, make sure you update to patch D 😉

If it’s just started today then it’s most likely AOL’s fault. They’re having a bit of trouble with their AIM and ICQ servers at the moment, there’s not much you can do about it except wait it out. If it’s a problem you’ve been having for a while please tell us what error you’re getting in the ICQ status window and maybe we can help you.

It is where Trillian guys patched/fixed the problems if one isn’t able to stay connected to Trillian or have experiencied issues with the AIM, AOL 8.0, ICQ2Go, or Yahoo or wish to remain connected. If you just downloaded Trillian .74 yesterday or recently, Patch D already is included.

Memberokie dokies, I understand now but do you get it at the same place mentioned above? The link to download Trillian, is that the link to get the “Patch D” one?

First of all you should check whether you already have patch D installed, since new downloads come with it. Click on the trillian menu (normally the globe) then choose help->about. If in the bottom right it says “0.74 (w/ patch D)” then you’ve already got it.
If not, you can get patch D from here.

Ah well don’t worry about patch D then, it will come included in 0.74 when you download it from download.com. You don’t need to do any extra steps to install it.

MemberGood news everyone!
Dreamrose and I fixed her problem. Looks like it was a corrupt installation. It’s all workin better and we did it all remotely using XP’s remote assistance features!
I’m genuinely surprised at how easy it was to get the remote assistance working. I’d heard of it being used for all sorts of stuff but never got a chance to do it myself. It was really cool to surf around on someone’s desktop from the opposie corner of the continent! 😀
