In the past few weeks everyone I know has been getting “Internet Explorer Script Error” …object expected…do you want continue running scripts…yes/no etc. While playing yahoo pool in the open chat box. This is happining with the old windows VM as well as the new SUN Java VM. What the heck is up with this!
Ok, i’ll pose the question this way……….Is anyone NOT getting “Internet Explorer Script Error” pop ups when playing pool in the IM box? If so, what system are you using? Are you also using Sun Java Update 6 with no “program not responding” errors? This is totaly frustrating for me and what should amount to a serious pox on Yahoo.
Okay i finally decided to test this out for you since i saw no one else responded. (i’m just nice like that :P) Well the first time i tried to play it said “Yahoo was unable to authenticate your id…..” So then i tried again and it just said “waiting for opponent” even though he had already accepted, then third time it just worked perfectly. I closed it down then tried again and it worked fine again just minor lag, no big deal, but overall it worked with no IE errors, because everytime after that third time i had no problems. I’m on windows XP with all the latest java download (update 6).
I think over-all it’s a yahoo issue, but can you at least play sometimes? or does it always give you errors?
PS: i merged your two topics together into this one thread since they are both basically dealing with same thing.
the script errors usually happen from the ad’s
mostly when they dont connect right or have been altered by a ad remover, anti ad programs…etc
lower left hand of your monitor left click start go to programs then to accessories then to system tools and finally to system information left click to open microsoft system information box. left click tools tab choose internet explorer tool in the drop down menu left click to open new box. choose repair internet explorer. click ok, after the repair it will prompt you to restart your computer choose yes. hope this helps. good luck
