I have looked fairly carefully but can’t find a folder for them in Yahoo or anywhere in Docs and Settings.
Does anyone know?
I don’t think they are stored in a folder, but i think you can view them in registry… Try reading this thread… read especially amy_d_g’s post and EliteNicks.
Hope that helps you find what you are looking for.
Thank you, that was useful.
You’re very welcome. Glad you found it useful. 🙂
Hi Sync.
Just thought I’d add a suggestion here …. in the thread that HatedJ links to I see I mentioned 3 programs that would allow extra control of YM statuses.
Well, THESE days I use (and recommend) another one – HyperIM.
It’s free, and besides allowing storage and manipulation of an unlimited number of Status messages (which can include links, realtime countdowns, etc etc) – it ALSO gives 1-click access to ALL 88 YM emoticons, (and displays them with text names too) – and quite a few other nice features.
The author, Adrian, in Romania, is constantly improving it further, and is easily accessible for suggestions or queries (via their own Forum). It works fine on YM8.0.0.508, and I’m fairly sure on any earlier version back at least as far as 7.0.
I swear by it, having used it for many months, as long as you’re prepared for just a slight extra “complication” in order to run things the way YOU want them. 😉
