I just installed MSNM 6.2, which was supposed to show animated GIFs as avatars. I picked an animated GIF, but only the first frame shows. What’s going on?
If you happened to read the numerous 6.2 topics you’ll see that MS did not add these into 6.2 at all.

Lets just wait and see.Yea thats what I expected too, no idea what microsoft are planning on doing. someone said to me they saw it in action and to get it you had to be in a spacific area, I personally thought that was bollocks. the new yahoo has animated avatars and looks better than MSN and upgraded better than microsoft.
I got the new Yahoo! Messenger. It doesn’t support animated avatars unless you’re talking about those ones it lets you make yourself.
I’m guessing the animated avatars will come out in 7.0. THat’s something to look forward to. If they don’t come out, and making animated pictures is so easy, then they may never have animated avatars.
I am using trillian v.74 and it allows me to use my own animated avatars for aim, msn, yahoo, icq, whatever.
You should try it 😉
