October 4, 2006 at 1:04 am #152983princeGParticipantHere’s some of my most usual internet destinations:
Exactly as the title says, everything about greek soccer, but also on other sports as well. It is a big community that gathers Greeks from all around the world, (mostly from Usa, England and Australia so it’s mostly immigrants), and they talk about everything that involves sports (not just soccer)
You can have a look if you like as the main language spoken in that forum is English, due to the many Greeks who live abroad.A British forum, made mostly for Oasis’s fans and since I’m a big Oasis fans myself, I go there a lot. There are other sections as well, but don’t suggest it to a child though as things there are.. kinda loosen up I’d say lol. (All language and material is allowed to be posted and viewed)
Forum that talks about everything cocnerning DSL, including techincal support, news, tutorials and many other goodies. This one is only in Greek though.
Definitely the best website out there with guitar tabs/chords! A huge variety of songs of every genre.
An online translator – includes English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Poruguese, Greek, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Chinese, Arabic, Italian.
That’s all for now

as for me… when i’m not here, i’m usually checking the following:
- Urban Coffee — my favorite podcast, covering current events, politics, technology, etc. Actually, to be more accurate, I’m more often on their forums.
- Newsvine — my primary source of news. It’s got a great community, and instead of just reading the news you can comment on them as you wish. Not exactly a forum, but the idea is similar.
- Google Reader is what I use to keep up with the various RSS feeds I subscribe to. Among them are sites on webdesign, current events, technology, comedy, etc. I can spend hours reading up on all the things I’ve subscribed to… it’s amazing.
- The Make:zine blog — a site about all sorts of random things that people have made themselves, or circuit-bent, or otherwise were creative with. Interesting stuff.
That’s all for now… I thought about posting a list of the more interesting feeds I keep up with, but meh.
October 4, 2006 at 11:40 am #152984MrEggsaladParticipantHmm, well, for me:
MrEggsalad.net – My blog, so of course I check it.
Neowin.net – Most the Shift Linux they are working on, basically a big tech site.
Ctrl+Alt+Del – A very humorous comic strip about 2 guys who love video games, a girl who hangs out with them who also likes games, and an odd guy who is always with his pet penguin.
SitePoint – Where I go to enter in all my contests for graphic design stuff. The prizes offered aren’t too bad either (like $100 is low)
And I guess that’s about it.
October 5, 2006 at 3:16 am #152980SpikeMemberFacepunch Studios – Garry’s Mod Community Forums. I like to map for them, and their vBulletin work is extrordinary.
Ctrl+Alt+Del Comic – Ctrl+Alt+Del Web Comic. Funny as hell, I recommend it to any geek/gamer.
HLComic.com – Garry’s Mod Web Comic following the life of “Gordon Frohman”. Also very funny.
Digg – Yes, I read Digg. Slashdot can die in a hole. 😀And that’s pretty much it on the web. Oh, right… BigBlueBall, too, but you probably already knoew that. 😉

October 9, 2006 at 9:37 pm #152986NessaParticipantAs for me, when i’m not browsing the forums here on BBB or chatting on Y! Messenger, i go to (and they are not in any particular order):
1. Sebby’s Arcade which is an arcade site i’m a moderator at. It is run and owned by a BBB member, seb_thib_55. And yes i’m very bad for including my referral link to get credit.
2. ShadowCorp which is a forum/arcade i’m also a moderator at. This one is run and owned by another BBB member, Dermot. Yes, i know i did it again. 😮
3. My Yahoo! 360 that i try to update once in a while, but it isn’t all that active. Maybe sometime it will be!
4. Any other little random site that catches my attention, but not any i can think of listing at this time.
So nothing way huge that makes you go WOW, but hey it keeps me entertained and takes up most of my internet time (when i’m not on BBB).
Will edit my post later if i remember anything else!

November 15, 2006 at 6:26 am #152989OptikalMemberThere are thousands of sites worth more than a second glance. From what I’ve read, some here need to broaden their view of the net.. I try to keep an updated collection of interesting links on one of my blogs (Link on profile) ..Improving your ability to utilise a search engine never seems to hurt, Fravia’s web-searching lore: Main entrance: Finding Information and Knowledge on Internet is a must read for anyone wishing to broaden their scope. —SymmetryLab— is an excellent time killer (when all else seems.. well, meh)..
